antibullying week at tces east London school 13th -17th November

'Make A Noise About Bullying

TCES East London pupils took part in activities last week as well as created drawings expressing how they perceive bullying. It took place between Monday 13th and Friday 17th November this year with the campaign title of "Make a Noise About Bullying". As part of their celebration of individuality, pupils and staff wore odd socks and designed posters to present for their Friday 'Celebration assembly', promoting a positive and inclusive school environment. This also raises awareness and encourages dialogue about bullying-related issues.

There were several interesting posters displayed per classroom with themes such as respect, kindness, caring for others, and supporting each other. The initiative of creating posters, provides an opportunity for the school community to come together and acknowledge the efforts of the pupils. Pupils were awarded with certificates during their assembly in recognition for their hard work and efforts in participation.

Engaging pupils in activities that promote awareness, understanding, and empathy towards key issues like bullying is crucial for creating a safe and inclusive learning environment. As part of our TCES values, we have mutual respect and appreciation for everyone. The emphasis on celebrating individuality and promoting positive values is a commendable approach to addressing and preventing bullying.
