The British Horse Society celebrates Wormwood Scrubs Pony Centre's 35th anniversary!
What an outstanding success of our recent invitation to the British Horse Society celebration of Wormwood Scrubs Pony Centre's 35th anniversary, attended by HRH The Princess Royal, Thursday 8th February. TCES North West Londin school tudents had the incredible opportunity to meet Princess Anne and showcase the remarkable impact of the "Changing Lives Through Horses" program, in collaboration with the work being done at TCES to prepare them for adulthood.
All students who attended; were exemplary ambassadors of TCES, displaying impeccable etiquette and eloquently articulating the transformative effect of the "Changing Lives Through Horses" program on their lives. One of our students, Leo, shared how participating in this program influenced his decision to pursue a future in horse/animal care. Leo's achievements, including being awarded the Petchey awards and an upcoming presentation, are truly commendable and highlight the alignment of our vision at TCES with programs that empower and transform lives.
Furthermore, our students were given the opportunity in meeting with the Director of "Changing Lives Through Horses," who expressed interest in interviewing Leo regarding the impact of our work at TCES on our students. This presents an excellent opportunity for publicity and further recognition of TCES's commitment to student success and holistic development.
In summary, our personal invitation to the celebration allowed the students to meet Princess Anne, shared their experiences, and exemplify the values of TCES. We remain steadfast in our commitment to equipping our students for success, and our CEIAG (Careers Education, Information, Advice, and Guidance) program continues to play a pivotal role in facilitating such meaningful encounters. From work experience opportunities at the pony center to personalised plans tailored to each student's aspirations, TCES ensures that every student has the support and resources needed to thrive.
