To mark the Diwali Festival of Light, students across KS3 and Post-16 at TCES East London created striking mixed-media artworks exploring themes of light, hope, and unity. Inspired by traditional Rangoli and Diya patterns, the students used symmetry, colour, and collage techniques to express the idea of light overcoming darkness.

The project celebrated Diwali’s powerful message of positivity and new beginnings, using light as a symbol of kindness and understanding across cultures. It formed part of the students’ wider exploration of the "Cycle of Life" and "Colour Theory" themes, blending artistic expression with emotional and sensory development.
