World mental health day 2025

On Friday 10th October, staff and pupils across our schools came together in a vibrant show of unity and compassion to mark World Mental Health Day. We all wore yellow "loud and proud" to raise awareness around mental health, break down stigma, and reinforce the message that it's okay to not be okay

At TCES, mental health and emotional wellbeing are not just topics discussed once a year; they are woven into the fabric of the school's inclusive ethos. Every activity, conversation, and relationship within the school is grounded in the belief that every young person deserves to feel seen, heard, and supported.

The day was an opportunity to reaffirm these values and spark honest conversations across the school. Pupils and staff engaged in a variety of reflective and creative activities aimed at exploring emotional wellbeing and promoting self-care strategies. These activities were not only empowering for pupils, but also served as a reminder to staff of the importance of modelling emotional openness and resilience.

Here are a few snapshots of our amazing staff and pupils proudly taking part at TCES East London School.
