Staff Wellbeing

During the COVID-19 pandemic, we need to ensure that we’re looking after ourselves. 

TCES Group’s Wellbeing team is working on various initiatives to help staff through these challenging times, but for now we thought we’d share a few ideas that have been put forward by various members of staff.

Wellbeing Inbox

It’s vitally important that we look after both ourselves and those around us, especially during these strange times. TCES Group is committed to supporting both the physical and mental health of staff and, as you are aware, all permanent staff have access to the services of the Employee Assistance Scheme.

The Wellbeing team are also here to support you and will provide whatever assistance we can. We have now set up a dedicated wellbeing mailbox so that you can contact the team with any areas of concern surrounding your own wellbeing, whether emotional or physical: Wellbeing@tces.org.uk. Please rest assured that all emails will be treated in a totally confidential manner and that no issue will be considered insignificant.

HealthShield

All TCES staff are entitled to the HealthShield employee benefit, the details of which are below. 

What you need to know:

  • You can voluntarily increase your level of cover via Payroll Deduction. Your Membership Plan will show the different levels of cover available
  • You can add children up to the age of 24 at no extra cost, if they’re in full-time education and living at home
  • You and your registered children can claim for any benefits covered regardless of health, including pre-existing conditions. This also applies to higher levels of cover and can be extended to partners as long as you increase your cover within 30 days of your plan start date. 

Benefits for employees
MyWellness services for all employees, which can be accessed by logging in to the Members’ Area. Details of how to access the Members’ Area will be included within the employee welcome pack.

My Counselling – 24/7 Counselling and Support Helpline makes it easy for you to get the expert support you need, when you need it. Providing award-winning guidance and counselling on matters from family to finance.

My Employee Assistance Programme – Access to up to eight face-to-face counselling sessions with a local professional, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.

My GP Anytime – You can consult with a GP over the phone 24/7 at a prearranged time, plus you can receive a face-to-face video chat on weekdays. You can also use the Health Shield private prescriptions service.

My On-Demand Physio – A direct line to a fully qualified physiotherapist who’ll organise a phone or video call with the right medical professional within 72 hours. You will receive a personal diagnosis and recovery programme.

My Wellbeing App – Access to Thrive, the NHS-approved* app that’s packed full of tips and techniques to help you monitor and improve your mental wellbeing. *The app meets NHS quality standards for clinical effectiveness, safety, usability and accessibility and has a supportive evidence base.

My Health Assessments – Designed to open your eyes to the importance of nutrition, lifestyle and fitness. Plus, you’ll receive tips, video guides and advice to help you make positive improvements to your long-term health.

My PERKS – The exclusive rewards platform that gives you discounts on purchases on everything from fashion, holidays, entertainment, car hire, health and beauty and even weekly shopping from major supermarkets.
