Thomas Keaney - CEO and Schools' Proprietor

Thomas Keaney

TCES Group’s Chief Executive and Schools Proprietor, Thomas Keaney, is a Qualified Social Worker with a Post Graduate Diploma in Therapeutic Child Care.  Thomas has 25 years of management experience, both in the public and private sector, including managing Local Authority Children’s Homes with Education, Social Work Recruitment Agencies and a Therapeutic Community. In these management positions Thomas has been responsible for the financial management of the companies as well as the marketing and management of the businesses.

All of Thomas’s management experience is in the field of social work and education services, thus providing TCES Group with the benefits of his extensive and successful management experience. Thomas has been managing TCES Group from its inception as a Social Care Company to its transition into the niche market of education for pupils with special educational needs. The Company has evolved in its focus over the past 15 years from an initial provider of alternative education services to one of the larger providers of Independent School Education in London and the Home Counties.


Thomas Davies - Non-Executive Director

Thomas Davies

Thomas is supporting TCES Group as Non-Executive Director.

During his ten years at Google, Thomas led the UK&I Cloud business as Country Manager, then became Director of Northern, Eastern & Central Europe, before leading the Global Partnerships team. He has a particular passion for helping organisations use technology to drive cultural change and develop a sustainable strategy for future success. Thomas is an expert in the business use of machine learning, digital technologies, leadership and the complexities of operating in multiple markets in times of unprecedented change.
He strongly believes that every organisation is unique and has the power to choose their own destiny. He has a humanistic approach to life and work.

Thomas is a highly regarded keynote speaker with articles published on FastCo and Medium. He is an accredited executive coach, has sat on the Technology Advisory Board for one of the UK’s leading banks, and is currently an Executive Advisor to the Association of Corporate Treasurers.

Jill Bainton - Education Governor

Jill Bainton

After a career in teaching and senior management, Jill worked for 17 years as a registered additional inspector for Ofsted and recognised inspection providers. She inspected all age ranges and types of independent schools and specialised in special schools. Jill has been working with TCES Group for some years and has worked together with the SIT, to prepare the schools for inspection. This includes full inspections, monitoring visits and training of staff and review of documentation.

Nick Pratt - Safeguarding Governor

Nick Pratt

Nick is a qualified Social Worker and has 20 years’ experience working in safeguarding, providing consultancy for Local Authorities and a variety of sectors. He specialises in allegations management having worked as a LADO for different Local Authorities and is passionate about providing freely accessible, high quality, safeguarding resources to anyone who needs them.

Richard Tipping - Commercial Director Strategic Partnerships

Richard Tipping

Richard Tipping is our Commercial Director. He joined TCES in September 2019 with  over 35 years’ experience of working in children’s services. He has worked in Education, Social Care and Children’s Services departments within local authorities, for a number of independent fostering agencies, for a large children’s charity and, most recently, within the NHS, commissioning health services for children. He also has a Masters degree in Children, Policy, Practice and the Law. While Richard’s focus is on the Commercial aspects of the organisation, a large focus of Richard’s  work over the last few years has been about partnership working,  bringing organisations and disciplines together to benefit children, young people and families, including a collaborative approach to how commissioners and providers can work effectively together.
